The Coronavirus pandemic has affected all spheres of life in different ways, it has changed how we travel, how we eat, the way meet people, to sum it up, it has changed our lives completely.

FOOD!!! So one of my first blog and it has to be about something that I love the most. Well the pandemic, it has definitely changed how and what we eat, while a lot of states in the country have forbid people to eat outside in restaurants, cafes and a majority of people themselves as a precautionary measure decide not to go to any outside eateries. While we miss our favourite delicacies and the joy it used to bring to us.

So, I recently visited one of my favourite restaurant Haldiram’s in Sector-29, Gurgaon. I was absolutely surprised to see the variety of frozen food that was available there. Their frozen food line has a diverse range of cuisines, from different flavoured wraps to Punjabi food like Kulchas, Naans, Choley, and the delicious Dal Makhani, to the cuisine from the down south like Dosas, Idlis and the chutneys, and last but not the least the people’s favourite snacks like samosas, spring rolls and pakoras. With such a diverse range Haldiram definitely didn’t fail to win our hearts.

The pro about these is that all you have to do is just heat them in your microwave and Voila! Your platter of happiness is ready, and the best part is it’s shelf life, the food has shelf life of a year.

That one thought that came to my mind was that although we had frozen and packaged food in India before the pandemic too, but the range was streamlined to just noodles, chips, nuggets, etc. and exotic food was quite expensive. But now while a lot of food chains have joined the league of frozen delicacies, this will give people a wide variety of to choose from and that too at a affordable prices. Like for me after buying a variety of the frozen food my bill was just around a 1000 Rupees.

With the increase in variety of frozen food, while the country recovers from the Coronavirus pandemic, will the daily increasing frozen food industry delve the experience of outside eateries? Since they come with a lot of pros one of them being the comfort of consuming them right in your home.
